If you’ve been enjoying the free parking in downtown Bridgewater you’re not alone.
Mayor David Walker says they’ve received a lot of positive feed back.
He says the fly in the ointment is a few King Street business owners who aren’t leaving the free spaces for customers.
“Some at first just didn’t realize that they couldn’t park there,” he says. “But, there are at least a couple of businesses who are resisting.”
Walker says he hopes education will be enough to solve the problem.
Free parking was approved as a one year experiment, but Walker says if it’s successful it could be extended indefinitely.
