Hunters on the South Shore can now try to secure a prized moose hunting license.
Moose hunting is only allowed in Inverness and Victoria counties in Cape Breton.
However, it’s a popular draw for hunters in our area.
Natural Resources Minister Zach Churchill says the licenses are selected through a lottery.
Last year, 10,000 applicants entered the draw vying for 345 licenses.
Hunters who have held a moose hunting license in the last five years can’t apply this year.
