Three players from the UPS South Shore Mustangs Major Midget Hockey Team are on their way to Quebec to compete in the QMJHL Excellence Challenge.
The Tournament will pit 20 players from across Nova Scotia against some of the best the Quebec League has to offer.
Paul Hunt, former Head Coach of the UPS South Shore Mustangs and part of the coaching staff for Team Nova Scotia, says he’s very proud of his three players for being named to the roster.
“We have goaltender Jeremy Robar, defenceman Ewan Keays and we have forward Ben Charles; those three had fantastic seasons and they definitely earned a spot here,” says Hunt. “These kids want to stack themselves up against the best and you know these are the people they’ll be competing against when it comes to the Quebec League Draft time and hopefully playing, and we always try to compete for gold.”
The QMJHL Excellence Challenge Hockey Tournament runs from April 26th – 29th, 2018 in Boisbriande, Quebec.
