Lunenburg County residents are paying their respects to soldiers.
Remembrance Day ceremonies are taking place Saturday, Nov. 11 and Mahone Bay is doing it’s part.
Helen Lighthouse, Mahone Bay Legion Branch 49 President, says the ceremonies aren’t just for the veterans of the first major wars.
“And the services nowadays too,” she said.
“Because so many people are coming out of the services with this Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, that it’s really, really sad.”
Mahone Bay’s service starts at the Legion at 10:40, and marching to the cenotaph for the ceremony and placing of the wreath.
They will march to St. John’s Lutheran Church and back to the Legion for a luncheon.
