About 150 students walked out of Bridgewater Junior-Senior High this morning.
The youth were protesting a proposal that would see grades 10-12 moved to Park View.

Organizer and former student Dennis Woodworth says the school options committee isn’t listening to students.
“One of the comments they made is that the kids don’t care where they go to school and that’s not true at all,” he says. “They do care, we’ve always cared.”
Woodworth says they didn’t want to see students get in trouble so the walk outs took place during scheduled breaks.
He says if the school is split up it would be a huge loss for both the students and the town.
Meanwhile, Grade 12 student Mark Rogers says even though he won’t be directly effected he doesn’t want younger students to miss out on the opportunities he had.
“It’s been an extremely positive situation at BHS. Being able to learn in a small classroom, getting to know all the students and the staff has been very beneficial to me and my learning.”
The school options committee has been conducting a review over the last several months.
The committee is expected to present their recommendation to the school board on Thursday.
