Superintendent Impressed By Bayview Teacher’s Application To Improve Classroom Conditions

The superintendent of the South Shore Regional School Board feels a Mahone Bay teacher was best suited to be on the council to improve classroom conditions.

Liz Brideau-Clark is a junior high teacher at Bayview Community School.

She teaches Language Arts, Social Studies, French, and Inquiry Based Learning

Scott Milner says she has been teaching for 28 years and was one of almost 50 South Shore teachers who applied to be on the council.

He says her application certainly stood out.

“She’s a highly regarded professional and I really look forward to working with her in looking at classroom conditions.”

Overall, nine classroom teacher positions on the council were chosen by school board superintendents.

Shelburne County parent Amy MacKinnon will also be a part of the 14 member council.

Initial recommendations from the council are expected no later than April 28.
