Really, we should know better. Once temperatures start to dip a bit this time of year, anything can happen.
Snow in the first few days of November? Maybe not usually, but it can happen. And just because we tend not to see it on a regular basis, it really does get cold enough most years.
I do not yet have my snow tires on, but the tires I do have on the car should get me where I need to go, even if we do get a bit of snow. The tough part is remembering to slow down. It’s not July any more.
Then there’s all those little things that we have around for the winter. Like the small snow shovel I toss in the car every year and hardly ever use. At least I hope I don’t have to use it too often. The thing fits in the car nicely, because it’s small. But I really wouldn’t want to have to use it too much, because it’s small. Like pretty much child size.
And the snow brush. I know I have one. I would like to remember where I put it when I finally took it out of the car some time around May. I have not yet had time to search it out, and really was in no hurry to do so. Until yesterday. I would like to have known where it was yesterday.
I guess it’s time I started putting those things together and get them back in the car. Just so they can get in my way until I take them out of the car and forget where I put them again. And maybe clear off the car once or twice. Hopefully no more than that.
