Team Arsenault Heading To National Scotties Tournament Of Hearts

Team Arsenault is heading to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Penticton, British Columbia after winning the Nova Scotia Scotties this weekend.

Jennifer Crouse, lead for the team, is originally from Queens County and a five time provincial champion.

She says this weekend’s win was rewarding but difficult because everyone on the ice are friends.

“As exciting as it is, it’s still just hard because you’re beating your friends and that was a tough part of it.”

Team Arsenault took down Team MacDiarmid 8-5 to represent the province in BC.

Crouse says the team struggled at the provincial level earlier this year but made a bit of a come back.

“We just sort of took some time away and then regrouped as a team and reset our focus and this has been step one of our ultimate goal is wanting to podium at the nationals.”

She says they have a lot of hard work ahead but are excited to be playing at the national level.

The games take place January 27 to February 4.
