‘The music lives on’: Australian Pink Floyd returns to Halifax

One of the world’s biggest and best-known Pink Floyd tribute bands is back in Halifax tonight.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show takes the stage at the Scotiabank Centre at 8 p.m. and promises much more than just the music. Long-time band member Chris Burns says the show is designed to recreate the full Pink Floyd concert experience, complete with the legendary lights, lasers, videos, inflatables and stunning production that made the original band famous.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show has been performing for nearly four decades, making it one of the longest-running tribute acts anywhere. Burns has been with the group for 10 years and still jokes that he feels like one of the “new boys” in the band.

Burns says Halifax audiences have always been fantastic and remembers the band’s last visit to Nova Scotia fondly. He describes the province as having a relaxed vibe and says the band always enjoys returning to Atlantic Canada.

The group has even earned praise from Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason. find Chris’s full interview below! There’s still some tickets available to buy HERE
