They’re Back! Bell Seeks Permission For A Revised Cell Tower Replacement

Bell Mobility will return to Mahone Bay town council with a request to alter the size of its existing cell phone tower.

The company actually wants to replace it with a new one and add 6 feet.

A similar request last fall was withdrawn by Bell after community fears the tower would overshadow the town’s picture-perfect landscape.

Mayor Joe Feeney says many townsfolk believe Bell may be slowly working toward its original request for a 150 foot high tower.

“I’d be very concerned if that thing started sticking up in the air so its noticeable all over the place. It would just ruin the streetscape.”

The new proposal is back before town council June 9th.
