Tractor Trailer Driver Arrested After Blood Alcohol Twice The Legal Limit

The driver of a tractor trailer was arrested early Monday morning after the vehicle went off the road near Exit 13 on Highway 103.

RCMP say a 41 year-old female driver from Cardigan, PEI was given a breath test at their Cookville detachment.

Her blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit.

She is facing numerous charges including care and control while impaired, care and control with a blood alcohol content over 80 milligrams and possession of marijuana.

The woman is due in Bridgewater Provincial Court on June 14.
