The Tri-County Regional School Board has announced that Dr. Jim Gunn will serve as interim superintendent.
In a news release, board chair Michael Drew says Gunn will be hired effective December 12 and will serve in the position until a
permanent superintendent is hired.
Current superintendent Lisa Doucet will work with Gunn throughout a transition period until her resignation is effective on January 3.
She has accepted a position with the Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority, based in Halifax.
Dr. Gunn has worked with the Tri-County Regional School Board in the past including as interim superintendent in 2011.
Drew says the board has every confidence that Gunn’s work as interim superintendent will provide a smooth transition for everyone.
