The President and CEO of St. George’s University, where Linnea Veinotte was a professor, issued a statement on twitter this afternoon.
Richard Olds says “It is with great sadness that I’m sharing with you some tragic news concerning Dr. Linnea Veinotte. Dr. Veinotte’s body has been found.”
He adds, “The thoughts and prayers of the entire University community are with her friends and family during this very difficult time.”
Police have not released the identity of the body found today on the island.
Veinotte was 36 years-old and moved to the island this summer with her husband Matt and two children.
