The Joint Rescue Co-Ordination Centre in Halifax says a 13-metre fishing boat is taking on water off South Western Nova Scotia.
Navy Lt. Len Hickey says the vessel was 70 nautical miles south west of Yarmouth when they received the call.
He says a Hercules aircraft and a Cormorant helicopter have been dispatched to the scene.
Hickey says several fishing boats in the are are also assisting.
He says it’s not known if the crew are still aboard the boat.
