The Lumberjacks are honouring our veterans tonight.
They’re hosting a military appreciation night and have asked four local vets to help them drop the puck.
UN Peacekeeping Comrade Bob Shupe is one of them.
He says Remembrance Day is about more than those who fought in battle.
“There was a fabulous sacrifice made by families at home,” he says. “Some of that is still felt to this day. It’s very important, I think to remember and honour that.”
Shupe and his fellow vets will drop the puck at 7 tonight.
He turns 78 years old this month.
