A forest fire has been reported in Shelburne County.
It started as a grass fire yesterday afternoon in Lower Clyde River.
However, it quickly escalated.
The Port Clyde Fire Department and the Department of Natural Resources were called to scene.
Reports on social media indicate there is a cottage in the area.
A DNR helicopter was brought in to drop water on the fire.
Bruce Nunn says crews are back on scene this morning.
As of 9 p.m. last night, the fire covered 2.5 hectares of land.
Nunn says it has spread this morning to 13 hectares.
We will provide more details as they become available.
