A pair of Lunenburg County mayors were among the first to receive poppies. Bridgewater Mayor David Walker and District of Lunenburg Mayor Don Downe were recognized earlier this week. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #24 in Bridgewater placed the poppies on both people. It was the unofficial kick-off to this year’s poppy campaign.
