Fire crews were able to save a Lake Centre home yesterday after a workshop only a few meters away caught fire.
Seven departments were called to assist around 3 p.m.
Pleasantville Fire Chief Tony Allen says this situation escalated quickly.
“The call came in as a possible grass fire then updated to a structure fire with some small explosions inside the structure.”
People could smell smoke for kilometres while crews fought to contain the blaze on New Cumberland Road.
There were no injuries.
Allen says they were able to keep the house safe however the workshop and nearby pool were lost.
