It’s 2020. That’s really all you have to say this year. Everything has been strange, so why should the fall colours be any exception.
Usually on a Thanksgiving weekend, we go for a drive to check out the leaves. That might have worked… two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, it looked like it was shaping up to be a pretty good year.
Then we got a bit of wind. The leaves that had changed were on the ground, and most of the ones that are left are just not showing much sign of changing colour. Many are still green and seemed determined to stay that way.
Sure, there are little spots of colour here and there, but much of it seems dull and washed out compared to what we are used to.
The colourful leaves must be out there somewhere. Guess I may have to drive a bit further to find them this year.
