The best sledge hockey players are coming to Bridgewater.
Events Lunenburg County bringing the 2016 World Sledge Hockey Challenge to town.
Canada’s National Sledge Team will face off against three countries – who have yet to be determined.
Chair Joanne Cooper says it should be a major attraction.
“A international event is going to bring people to the area who have never been here before when you are talking international fans and teams from all over.”
Cooper says people can volunteer by going to the Events Lunenburg County website.
The tournament will be held from January 17-23 at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Center.
Tickets should be available for purchase by October 1.
