Bus users in Yarmouth have another way to pay for the service.
People have had to use the smartcard system since the transit launched in February.
Now, they can also pay cash.
Director of Planning, Caroline Robertson, says some people were asking to pay money instead of using the smartcard.
“We want to appeal for tourists and we want people to try out the service and we didn’t want them to feel uncomfortable because of the smartcard.”
Robertson says people have the option of paying $2 per ride or $3 for a smartcard, which lasts all day.
The bus route is also changing to include Havelock Drive, instead of only going down Argyle Street.
