Yarmouth Visitor Information Centre To Remain Open

The visitor information centre in Yarmouth will remain open.

Business Minister Mark Furey confirmed today the province will continue to operate that centre along with five others in Nova Scotia.

Activity at the centres has decreased over the last decade.

However, Furey says over the past year, Tourism Nova Scotia consulted extensively with industry and communities about different ways they can operate.

Tourism Nova Scotia has set out a goal to attract more first time visitors to the province and double tourism revenues to $4-billion by 2024.
