$155,000 Renovation Coming For The Shelburne Library

The Library in Shelburne just got an investment from Ottawa of more than $85,000.

That’s in addition to $10,000 each from the municipality and town and another $50,000 in fundraising.

The money will go towards a major renovation later this year.

Regional Library Director Erin Comeau says the way people use the library is changing.

“To gather, to use the technologies that they may not be able to afford or can’t access,” she says, “those are the types of thing that we’re seeing more. The libraries are sort of changing–they’re evolving.”

The biggest changes will be to their community room.

The project is expected to be complete before the end of the year.
