A new medical service has been unveiled that aims to make accessing patient records easier.
My Health NS is a secure online tool launched by the province.
It will, among other things, allow patients to receive medical results on their smart phones.
A group of 6000 patients and their 30 family doctors have been using a trial run of the program for the last three years.
It’s only being released in Halifax, Eastern Shore and West Hants for now.
However it’s expected to become available province wide early next year.
The price tag for My Health NS is $13.3 million.
