Liverpool continues to reap the benefits of hosting the 2014 Canadian Junior Curling Championships.
The host committee presented a legacy cheque for $61,861 to the Liverpool Curling Club.
However, President John Armstrong, says some of that money was provided over the last two years.
Armstrong it’s includes a $30,000 payment in 2014 and another payment around $10,700 last year.
He says the actual amount received this week was $16,700 to help with renovations.
“We’re looking at having to replace the roof which is going to be $40,000. The roof is the main project right now. It’s 25 years old and starting to leak.”
Armstrong says the club still needs support.
It has struggled to pay bills and increase membership in the last few years.
