Alzheimer’s Society Looks For New South Shore Coordinator

The Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia is need of a new coordinator in the South Shore.

Joan Parks-Hubley has spent that last three years educating people about the disease.

She says there is a good foundation of services available, but more can be done.

“Working to be more inclusive of people with a diagnosis of dementia and trying to help those people stay actively involved.”

Parks-Hubley points to a new website called ‘Dementia Friends’ to help people get involved.

A new person is expected to be in place by the end of the month.
