RCMP says three horses were killed in a motor vehicle accident last night in Crousetown.
Police say shortly after 6 pm, a car collided with the horses which were on a corner of Italy Cross Road.
Sgt. Andrew Joyce, public information officer for the RCMP says there were a few factors leading to the accident.
“Weather would have been a factor, and there was a turn involved as well where the collision would have occurred,” he said.
“It was a combination of all those factors, all of them lining up to create this tragedy.”
He says the driver of the vehicle was not injured, and no charges are pending for the driver or the owner of the horses.
