Bridgewater Legion Brings In Over $34,000 In Poppy Donations

Remembrance Day is over, but branches are only now seeing the end result of Poppy donations.

Bridgewater Legion Branch 24 surpassed last year’s total, finishing with $34,500.

Wayne Thorburne, with Bridgewater Legion, says this means they are able to help even more veterans.

He also says they do a lot of commuity projects.

“We’ve been donating to the Hospital Foundation over here for as long as I can remember.”

Thorburne also says he’s grateful to everyone who donated their money and their time to make the difference.
