Canada Falls To U.S At World Juniors; Play Semi-Final Versus Hungary

Canada suffered their first loss at the World Junior Curling Championships in Denmark.

The Chester team, skipped by Mary Fay, lost 8-7 to the United States in today’s 1-2 page playoff game.

Canada led 7-6 heading into the 10th end, but the resilient Americans scored two to clinch the victory.

The U.S. earns an automatic berth into tomorrow morning’s final.

Team Canada will play Hungary in this afternoon’s semi-final at 2 p.m Atlantic, after their 12-11 win over Korea.
