Region Of Queens: Dagley Announces Candidacy For Mayor

The first candidate has emerged to run for mayor in Queens.

David Dagley of Liverpool has announced his intentions.

He ran in 2012 and finished just over 500 votes behind current mayor, Christopher Clarke.

Dagley says it’s a decision he takes seriously.

“Queens county has been my home for a number of years and I care deeply about the area and the people that live in it and I would like to see Queens progress as we move forward.”

Dagley believes the region needs to pursue employers to come to Queens to create jobs.

Meanwhile, Clarke has not indicated if he will re-offer for mayor.
