Bridgewater Police is warning about a new scam making the rounds.
This time crooks are using an online ad targeting people applying for a job as a mystery shopper.
Police say job seekers receive a cheque in the mail and are instructed to use the money to buy items at a local store and complete a survey about the service they experienced.
The scammers request the leftover money be returned and days later the cheque bounces, leaving the victim up to thousands of dollars in debt.
Several instances of this scam have been reported in the last few weeks.
