Teens Take On Community Service

A tsunami of teenagers will be sweeping through Bridgewater next month, set on helping those in need.

Some 375 youth will be participating in a program put on by Bridgewater Baptist aimed at teaching youth to serve in their communities.

Summer Associate Evelyn Sabine says the event is called ‘Tidal Impact’

“I’m hoping that they will learn that it is important to go to third world countries and help there, but I think we often forget about our [own] community.”

Sabine says the youth will spend time at Souls Harbour Rescue Mission, and Small World Learning Centre.

She hopes the lessons learned during the week will make a lasting impact when they head home.

The youth will be in Bridgewater from July 22-29
