Golfers will soon get the chance to tee off in support of local health care.
Hit it for Health is less than two weeks away from coming to Osprey Ridge.
The tournament will see golfers of all different skill levels raise money for South Shore Regional Hospital.
Tina Hennigar of the Health Services Foundation says there are no skill requirements.
“It’s a lot of fun, and you know, it’s certainly competitive for some people,” she says, “and for some people they just want to go out and have some fun and raise money; do some good for the hospital.”
Hennigar says she expects big numbers this year.
“We are on par to do really well for this tournament,” she says, “Everyday we get another team, and I’m really hoping we’ll sell out.”
This year, they’re hoping to purchase a ventilation system.
The equipment will help a patient breathe when they can’t do so on their own.
With the addition, patients can be more active both in and around the hospital.
The events tees off July 6th at Osprey Ridge Golf Course.
