Nova Scotia’s premier says Monday’s federal election results is good for the province.
The Liberals swept all 11 seats in Nova Scotia en route to a majority government.
Stephen McNeil says Justin Trudeau should have a better relationship with premiers than the former prime minister.
“It’s well documented that the former prime minister didn’t meet with premiers. Trudeau will be sitting down with premiers to help us build on what our relationship is to build the country, which is a positive thing for our province.”
McNeil expects to discuss areas like immigration and the economy with Trudeau.
He also looks forward to Trudeau working with the province’s to create a new funding accord for the health-care system.
