New Executive Director At Tri County Women’s Centre

There’s a new executive director at the Tri-County Women’s Centre.

After a decade, Bernadette MacDonald has retired.

Lisanne Turner is now at the helm.

MacDonald says it was time for a transition.

“I’ve been working with Lisanne for four or five years. I’m getting old. At some point you have to let it go and transition into others pieces of your life and I’m ready to do that.”

MacDonald says she’ll continue to work on women’s equality issues.

Turner, the former Sexual Violence Services Coordinator for the Centre, says she’s looking forward to working on all issues important to women especially, sexual violence.

An interview with MacDonald and Turner will air this Sunday morning on the Y95 CJLS Weekender.
