Nova Scotia’s NDP Leader is sounding the alarm bells over a lack of job creation! Maureen MacDonald says more than 5-thousand full-time jobs have been lost in the past month alone across the province, 11-thousand in a year. She says the McNeil government is showing little concern. “We are hemmoraging full time employment and this should be the government’s number one priority”, says MacDonald. “Yet, we are seeing next to no activity with respect to this particular issue.” MacDonald says the situation in Pictou County where a thousand jobs have been lost shows a lack of government support and concern for the community. She says there’s been no word on how families affected by the layoffs might be helped.
