The loss of the south parkade in Bridgewater is concerning at least one business on King Street.
Shannon Oickle is the manager of Vogue Optical.
She says the loss of parking spots will have a negative effect on their customers.
“Especially our elderly customers. They are going to have a hard time walking. It’s alright if you’re 30, you can walk down from the other parkade, but if you’re 80, it’s going to be a challenge for them.”
The south parkade will start to be demolished on Monday.
Oickle says there won’t be enough parking available once that happens.
