Criminal Charges Laid Against Two Bathurst Cops

Two Bathurst City Police officers are facing charges of manslaughter, assault with a weapon and unlawfully pointing a weapon. The charges stem from the shooting death of Michel Vienneau last January near the VIA Rail station in Bathurst.

38 year old Constable Patrick Bulger and 26 year old Constable Mathieu Boudreau will be appearing in court January 4th in Bathurst.

Meantime, at the request of the Bathurst Police Chief, the New Brunswick Police Commission announcing it will be conducting an investigation into the conduct of the two officers after the criminal proceedings finish.
