It started with a simple request from a grieving father.
At Andrew Huskilson’s 5-year old daughter’s funeral last week, he asked people to ‘pay it forward’ in honour of his little girl, Carmen.
Shelburne’s, Lisa Harris picked up the challenge and started a facebook page.
“It was just my way of giving back and getting the story out there. The strength and support of the people and surrounding areas has been overwhelming,” said Harris.
“I can’t keep up with the number of requests coming in. I had 250 requests to join the group on Facebook in the last hour.”
Messages of good deeds and donations continue to pour in from around the world.
From Elizabeth in Welland, Ontario, “we bought candy for the family behind us in the movie tonight and told them about the special little girl from Nova Scotia.”
