The province and Yarmouth town council are teaming up to extend the Maud Lewis Trail.
The walking trail needed a crosswalk on Parade Street to join Clements Avenue.
Yarmouth MLA Zach Churchill says the province is investing $60,000 in the project.
He says it’s great to partner with the town.
“I’ve heard from the community that this is an important project for them. So, we’re looking forward to seeing more people out and about and walking and using these great trails in our area to connect themselves to the rest of the community”
The Town of Yarmouth will invest $121,000.
The Maud Lewis Trail opened a couple of years ago and provides a walking path from Parade Street to Starrs Road.
