A former chief administrative officer in two Nova Scotia municipalities is making his way to Chester.
Dan McDougall spent 12 years as CAO in Colchester County and the District of Guysborough.
He will begin working for the Municipality of Chester on January 28.
Warden Allen Webber says McDougall has a lot of experience.
“They need to be a jack-of-all-trades. Dan as a deputy minister in municipal affairs understands municipal government and currently working with the province in housing.”
McDougall also has experience wth Service Nova Scotia.
Webber expects McDougall will have to get up to speed on revising Chester’s land-use plan as well as landfill and water issues.
McDougall is replacing Tammy Wilson after she accepted the CAO position in Bridgewater.
