Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the South Shore.
Jean-Marc Couterier, forecaster with Environment Canada says it will start as rain but as the temperature drops to the freezing mark it will change to snow.
“The snow will continue to fall and it will be heavy at times throughout the late afternoon and evening hours. And in total, we’re looking at about 15 cms of snow,” said Couturier.
The wind will also play a role in the today’s storm.
Gusts out of the northeast to 70 km/h could reduce visibilty at times this afternoon and this evening.
