The Chester Arena will remain closed for the rest of this season.
The Eleanor Pew Morris Memorial Arena was closed earlier this month due to the structural integrity of its roof.
Repairs were expected to take about a month but there have been some delays.
Spokesperson Paul Burgoyne says a best case scenario projects work to finish towards the end of March.
Burgoyne says it’s critical work and needs to be done correctly.
The Chester Minor Hockey Association has booked ice times for its teams at other facilities.
However, they are planning to approach the municipality for funding to offset increased rental fees.
