The Bridgewater Development Association is looking to help local businesses thrive.
The group is recruiting volunteers to survey business owners to learn about common problems.
Manager, Ida Scott, says the focus needs to be on more than attracting new business.
“We believe that it’s more important to concentrate on creating an environment for your existing businesses to remain in the area and continue to grow.”
Scott says once they understand the issues they can begin working on solutions.
She says they’re hoping to get around 70 volunteers to start canvassing businesses next month.
