UPDATED: Power Restored On The South Shore

UPDATED – 12:15 P.M.

Plenty of people remain without power in Nova Scotia following yesterday’s snowfall.

Nova Scotia Power has crews trying to restore electricity to over 25,000 homes and businesses.

However, there are no outages affecting the South Shore.

It took crews between 12 and 16 hours to restore power in Lunenburg and Queens counties.

The company says heavy, wet snow has built up on trees causing them to lean on power lines.
