A 21st Century Learning Environment For PVEC

A 21st century learning environment is in the works at the Park View Education Centre.

The school, built in the 70’s, is undergoing a major, multi-year $12,000,000 renovation project.

Brian Smith, director of operations with the South Shore Regional School Board says mechanical and electrical upgrades will allow for more modern learning.

“We’ve got technicology in every single room and plug-ins and overhead projectors and smart boards and those kinds of appliances are much more demanding than when the school was first built,” said Smith.

The idea is to ensure the school keeps up with changing technology.

Once complete in 2017, no more renovations will be needed for another 25 years.
