The public is about to get a bird’s eye view of the Shelburne municipality.
Council has hired a Halifax based production company to shoot a promotional video using a drone.
Warden Penny Smith says a number of locations will be featured including the Black Loyalist Heritage Centre, Sandy Point lighthouse and River Hills Golf Course, among others.
“We see those as really showcasing the Municipality of Shelburne and what it offers to the potential buyer. We believe we have a quality second to none and we want to showcase that.”
Smith says the footage was shot in September and council is eager to see the results.
“We would definitely want to see this out in circulation within the next month or two. The sooner, the better, really.”
Smith says council had a $14,000 surplus in a promotions budget that would have been lost if it wasn’t used.
She says the video will be shown on the town’s web page and will be included as part of packages to promote Shelburne to visitors.
