Chester Race week has wrapped up and planning has already begun for 2018.
Co-chair Pat Nelder says it’s important to plan early so they can have everything prepared.
“The planning takes at least a year to organize and make sure we have all the volunteers and that we have everyone on the same page as what we’re going to do for 2018.”
Organizers are giving a shoutout to the volunteers for all their hard work.
Nedler thanked volunteers who came out to help with the annual event that held over 50 races.
“I can even count the number of volunteers that put this race week on, there is some incredible volunteers here at the club.”
Organizers had hoped to see at least 140 boats on the water and Nedler says they met their goal.
Next year’s race week will take place August 15-18, 2018.
