As Tourism Grows, So Too Does The Need For Hired Help

Tourism is growing exponentially here on the South Shore.

That, according Donna Hatt, Chair of the South Shore Tourism Co-operative and Marketing & Product Development Manager at White Point Beach Resort in Queens County, NS.

But in order to keep tourism thriving, Hatt says many local businesses are in need of hired help through the busy summer months and beyond.

She says while the culinary & restaurant sector is in need of help, so are many other areas.

“We still have attractions and gift shops and retail outlets that are looking for frontline employees who want to help celebrate the best of what we have to offer and meet those demands as tourism continues to grow,” says Hatt.

The need for hired help is nothing new; last year, the demand was also there throughout the South Shore.

Tourism in Nova Scotia is more than a $200 million dollar industry, a big part of that here in the South Shore.
