Bridgewater Police have been recognized as a valuable community partner. The Lunenburg County Association for the Specially Challenged, or the Ark, has presented officers with their award for this year. Chief John Collyer says it’s a nice honour to receive. He says, “It’s always nice to be told when you are doing something right as opposed to when we are doing something wrong because we usually hear about it when we are doing something wrong so it is very nice to have recognition of our efforts.” Constable Morgan Gibson visits the King Street group daily. It’s the first time Bridgewater Police have received the award. It is located in the community room at police headquarters.
